Anti-waste: the Senate wants to "restore a real industrial backbone" to the circular economy

Anti-waste: the Senate wants to "restore a real industrial backbone" to the circular economy

A breath of fresh air at a time when environmental policy is under fire . The report reviewing the five years since the adoption of the anti-waste law for a circular economy (AGEC) was unanimously adopted by senators on Wednesday, June 25, in the Committee on Regional Planning and Sustainable Development.

In 11 proposals, rapporteurs Marta de Cidrac (LR) and Jacques Fernique (Green Group) want to put the State back at the center of steering the circular economy to overcome the difficulties "encountered on the ground", make up for lost time on the objectives set by law in terms of reducing waste and "give circular economy policy a real industrial backbone".
